Cosrx Advanced Snail 92 All in One Cream Review

I have been hearing great things about Corsx Advance Snail 92 All in One Cream so I decided to try it. Corsx is one of the more well known K-beauty brands that has become popular in North America. One of their strongest points is that their product lines are effective and also very affordable to the average skincare user. Their skincare products contain good ingredients that can help target different skin issues you may have.

COSRX is a K-beauty skincare brand that was created in 2013. The name actually is a combination of cosmetic and RX (which means prescription). It is a way of saying that this Korean skincare brand focuses on creating skincare products that are based on science.

What I really love about this brand is that their products are always affordable and also simple and highly effective. They focus on using high quality ingredients in a minimalistic way to help fix your common skincare concerns without the need of any extra additives. In a way, this brand is much like The Ordinary, another skincare brand that I frequently use. Much like The Ordinary, COSRX also has basic packaging and puts much emphasis on being transparent.

    Snail Mucin

Anyways, back to the featured ingredient in this cream: snail mucin. This skincare product has been crazy popular in the last few years. To some people, snail mucin might sound exotic and weird to put on your face but this ingredient is actually getting acknowledgement for their ability to help improve your skin. Not only is it considered to be soothing for your skin, it can also hydrate and have skin repairing properties.

Snail mucin is the thick and slimy substance that is produced by real snails. The slime is secreted by the snail to help protect them from the dangerous environment and help them heal their wounds. Usually, the snail mucin is farmed in a humane and non-harmful way. There are dedicated snail farms that breed and raise snails for their snail mucin. They are gently stimulated to encourage them to secrete their mucin. Methods such as providing them a space to crawl or massages are used. Once the snail mucin is collected, they are filtered and purified to ensure that the mucin is safe for you to use.

One of the main benefits of snail mucin is that it is very hydrating. Their mucin is very rich in enzymes such as hyaluronic acid, glycolic acid and glycoproteins. All of these help your skin absorb outer moisture and lock it into your face to keep it hydrated. Therefore, snail mucin is great for those of you who have dry skin.

Not only is it hydrating, it is also anti-inflammatory. It contains natural agents such as allantoin that helps relax your irritated or sensitive skin. The allantoin also can help your skin repair and regenerate faster. This means that those of you who have scars, dark spots or hyperpigmentation might see a benefit in using snail mucin. Over prolonged use, it might be possible to help fade some of your skin issues.

Snail mucin is also known to help stimulate collagen production and increase your skin’s elasticity. This means that it can help reduce the appearance of the fine lines and wrinkles on your face. As we age, collagen production naturally decreases, this is why we might start to see wrinkles, sagging and even a loss of skin tone. By increasing our production, we might see our skin becoming more youthful and firm.

FYI, I tried this Hyaluronic Acid Intensive Cream too and it is amazing! For those of you with dry skin during winter this is literally the holy grail. It is affordable and leaves my skin feeling completely dewy and youthful during winter. However, for those of you who has a tendency to have oily skin, I would probably say this is a good one to skip out and probably try the All in One Cream instead. The hyaluronic acid intensive cream is quite heavy (good for those with dry skin during winter), it really helps protect and keep the moisture locked in.

The texture of the product gives me a feeling of a nice gel like cream. Although it looks like a cream, it goes onto your face in a slightly thick gooey consistency. When applied on my face, I found it to feel nice as it was smooth to apply and did not stay sticky once I put it on.

The cream was stickier than I thought it would be, however it wasn’t too sticky to make it annoying to apply make up after. When applied, it was fine for me to put on sunscreen after a bit and then make up. I did not feel like it was too heavy after applying everything for my day. The ingredients are also great for those of you who have sensitive skin. All in all, this is a great product for those of you who are looking to stay hydrated for winter as it is super hydrating.
