I have been trying the Farmacy’s 10% Niacinamide Night Mask for 2 weeks and I think I kind of like it. It is a nice skincare product for night time use, something that can be easily applied before I sleep. This overnight face treatment just launched back in Dec 27, 2021 and in the two weeks I have been using it, I felt like it made a difference.
Unlike some night creams that leave your face all stuffy and sticky, this one feels much lighter. It comes in a gel and water like consistency, making it feel cool to touch but a nice smooth feel when you put it on your face. For those of you who have used Laneige’s Water Sleep Mask, it feels somewhat similar to that. In fact, it gives me a similar feel to that, except that Farmacy has included 10% niacinamide in the ingredients.
For 2 weeks straight, I used this on my face after cleaning at night. They included an applicator in the jar and I used that to scoop it out. As mentioned before, it has a nice dewy water gel feel. When I applied it on my face, it did not feel too sticky or heavy like some other creams. This product is fragrance free, which is good for those who might find fragrances irritating. Personally, I would actually like a little bit of a blueberry scent as the product includes blueberry seed oil in their ingredients. Plus, the jar is a nice purple blue to match with the usage of blueberry seed oil.

I felt like it was pretty good on my skin. I avoided spreading much on my T-zone as it can get a little oily for me. One great thing about this product is that it was hydrating enough for me to use it during winter. Although, the texture of this night mask does not feel as thick as some other night creams, this was sufficient enough to help keep my face from being dry and flaky during winter.
After applying, you should avoid sleeping on your face or sides for around 5 minutes to ensure it dries a little on your face first. When I wake up the next day, I found that sometimes there were parts on my face that still had a little bit of cream left, like I can feel a little residue leftover. I proceeded to just wash it off in the morning with lukewarm water.
More About the Ingredients:
The Farmacy Night Mask is backed by science to improve your skin texture and tone, strengthen your moisture barrier and refine your pores. Through daily usage, your skin should become smoother and have a more even looking complexion. There is quite a few ingredients in this product, but the key three are 10% niacinamide, 3% pantheon and up-cycled blueberry seed oil.
The 10% niacinamide is known as a vitamin B3 derivative. On average, a concentration of 4% to 5% of niacinamide is enough to improve wrinkles and your face. In fact, it currently hasn’t even been proven that a higher rate of niacinamide will lead to higher efficacy. Niacinamide helps on your other layer of your skin and treats your pores, restore your defence to moisture loss and helps with skin discolourations. It is versatile to almost all skin care concerns and skin types.
Panthenol is used to help hydrate your skin. It is a chemical substance made from vitamin B-5. While it improves your skin’s hydration and elasticity it can also soothe red inflamed skin as it has anti-inflammatory properties.
Blueberry seed oil provides a strong protection to your skin because it has high antioxidant levels. Our skin is often bombarded by environmental stressors, this ingredient is a good source of antioxidants to help keep it glowing and looking youthful by protecting you from environmental stressors. In addition, blueberry seed oil is also high in omega-3 fatty acids, this helps diminish the appearance of wrinkles and leaves your skin plump and firm.
My face felt great in the 2 weeks of wearing the Farmacy 10% Niacinamide Night Mask. It gave me a nice boost of hydration and moisture. Think of it like the Korean dewy face look, youthfully radiant and luminous! Because the product spreads quite well, it isn’t necessary for you to use a lot to get it all over your face. It is currently $52 CAD and $42 USD on Sephora, although I do agree the price is a little high for 50ml. But with this night cream, it is the only product you’ll probably need at night as it is pretty well rounded. I definitely think it is worth a try!
