Deciem has come out with their new Salicylic Acid 2% Masque and I’m so excited to talk about it!
This is a clay based treatment face mask that will be sold at $12.50. The treatment mask uses clay and vegan charcoal with salicylic acid. Much like the general charcoal based products, the mask comes out in a black colour.
It’s formulate to help target your lacklustre tone and textural irregularities. The charcoal and clay helps enhance the appearance of smoothness and clarity. Whereas the salicylic acid helps with oily or acne prone skin. Both charcoal and clay are known for being good for deep cleaning because of their porosity and their large surface area that allows for absorption.
Because this product has salicylic acid, I suggest that you do not use the product on sensitive or peeling skin. This masque can be used once or twice a week on clean and dry skin. Leave it on for no more than 10 minutes and then rinse completely. The product also contains a beta hydroxy acid that might increase your sensitivity to the sun (wear sunscreen!) so I would suggest it would be ideal to use it at night.
